Spicer+Cole is a small, independent group of cafés based in Bristol, known for exceptional coffee, fresh seasonal food and warm, genuine hospitality. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to join our busy Clifton Village café.

We work closely with Bristol-based Extract Coffee Roasters for our house espresso and have recently introduced a curated coffee programme featuring a rotating selection of blends and single-origin coffees for both milk and black coffees. We are also expanding our brewing methods and refreshing our coffee bar, making this an exciting time to join our coffee team.
The Role
As Head Barista, you will work alongside our Head of Coffee and barista teams to ensure every cup we serve is consistently excellent.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:
- Lead by example on the coffee bar
- Maintain exceptional coffee quality and consistency
- Train, coach and inspire baristas across the team
- Support the development of our coffee offering and brewing methods
- Deliver warm, efficient and memorable customer service
- Help us maintain our high standards and 5-star guest experience
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong specialty coffee experience
- Is genuinely passionate about coffee and hospitality
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Communicates confidently and builds strong relationships
- Enjoys coaching and developing others
- Thrives in a busy café environment
- Takes pride in delivering consistently high standards
