We're hiring!
We're currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic bartender to join our small bar team across our Pubs in Bristol; The Good Measure & The Kings Head. You'll mostly be working at our Pub in Redland, The Good Measure - however, the role will also require the flexibility to work across our other Pub in Redcliffe, Kings Head.
We expect the role to be around 25-30 hours, across weeknights, the weekend and involve day & night shifts. As we're a small team, we're most importantly looking for someone who is reliable, experienced and have the flexibility to be able to pick-up extra shifts during busy periods and to cover staff absences.
The shift times are 3:30pm - 12:00am Mon - Thurs, 3:30pm - 1:00am Fridays, 1:30pm - 1:00am on Saturdays (there is a shift changeover from day/night) and 1:30pm - 11:00pm on Sundays. We are therefore looking for someone who is able to start work from 3:30pm on weekdays.
A little bit about us & the role -
We serve a carefully curated line-up of cask and keg beers from excellent local and national breweries. We stock local spirits, natural wines from a local distributor and non-alcoholic drinks
The main duties are -
- Providing a friendly and engaging welcome to customers
- Opening and closing the venues, following the required open/close checklists
- Serving customers drinks (keg, cask, wine, spirits) to a high standard whilst providing excellent customer service
- Managing stock levels throughout the shift
- Cellar duties; Cleaning lines, changing kegs & cask, tapping cask & general cellar up-keep.
What we'd need from you -
- You'll mostly be working independently, so we're looking for someone with proven experience of working independently, using your own initiative and following instructions when required
- You'll also have great communication, time management and customer service skills
- You'll have a basic understanding of cellar management and a willingness to expand on this
- Due to the above, we're ideally looking for people with at least 1 years prior bar or pub experience, some of this should be working independently
- As one venue is a neighbourhood pub and one a city centre pub, you must be able to work within different environments and paces - being highly personable, approachable and able to multi-task whilst engaging with customers.
