WE ARE HIRING – IMMIGRATION LAW CASEWORKERS / PARALEGALS
Onis Legal Services is looking for two young and motivated Immigration Law Caseworkers / Paralegals to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate should have some experience in UK immigration law, particularly in:
- Preparing applications for leave to remain and entry clearance
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence to the Home Office
- Client onboarding and taking instructions
- Preparing client care letters and general casework support
This role is suitable for someone currently on a Student Visa, Graduate (PSW) Visa, or any other visa category.
Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience and skill set
Working Arrangement:
- Hybrid working during the initial 6-month probationary period
- On-site working following successful completion of probation
Visa sponsorship may be available after a successful 6-month probation period.

➕ The following would be an advantage:
- Ability to speak additional languages commonly spoken within migrant communities, including languages from South Asian communities such as Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Tamil, Nepali, Bengali, Sinhala, or related languages
- Confidence appearing in social media videos and immigration law content for public education and marketing purposes

Responsibilities
- Manage and organise immigration case files with meticulous attention to detail
- Draft, review, and file legal documents using Microsoft Word and other relevant software
- Communicate regularly with clients, government agencies, and external stakeholders via email and phone calls
- Assist in preparing applications, petitions, and supporting documentation for various immigration processes
- Maintain accurate records of case progress using organisational skills and IT systems
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required documentation
- Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars through Microsoft Outlook, and maintaining client correspondence
- Conduct research on immigration laws and policies to support case preparation
- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure compliance with all procedural requirements
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Good IT skills including familiarity with case management software (preferred)
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Prior experience in a legal or immigration environment is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
