At NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) we work with our incredible donors and donor families to enable their generous donations to change and save the lives of patients every single day. Our organisation doesn’t just facilitate blood donation, a key area of our service is Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation (OTDT) and this is where we need you.
We’re looking for organised, confident communicators - particularly those with experience in busy administrative or call centre environments - to join our dedicated Hub Operations team. The Hub plays a critical role in the transplant pathway, facilitating around 1,600 donations each year, managing over 39,000 organ offers, and helping ensure that thousands of patients receive life-saving or life-enhancing transplants.
As an Operations Coordinator, you’ll coordinate the administration behind matching and allocating organs for transplantation across the UK, Republic of Ireland and European Organ Exchange organisations24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
This is not a clinical role, and no clinical experience is required. Instead, you’ll use your strong coordination, communication and IT skills to support this life-saving process. You’ll work in a fast-paced, call centre-style environment, managing multiple calls and tasks each shift, and playing a crucial part in making successful transplants happen.
