Know how to find revenue before the competition does?
We're looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to drive the hotel's commercial performance across corporate and leisure business — owning the strategy and doing the legwork to make it happen.
You'll build and own the hotel's sales and marketing plan, working closely with the General Manager, Area Sales Director and the hotel's revenue team to grow existing accounts, win new business, and keep the hotel positioned strongly in the local and national marketplace. Day to day, that means:
Researching competitor properties to track market and rate intelligence, and spotting business worth targeting
Actively identifying, securing and contracting new and repeat corporate and leisure business across all relevant market segments
Managing and growing key accounts, and building relationships with Brand Key Account Directors/Managers to maximise revenue from national accounts
Supporting the annual budgeting process and taking ownership of delivering the agreed sales and marketing strategy
Developing affiliations and partnerships with local leisure attractions and venues for joint marketing opportunities
Planning and running local marketing campaigns and producing sales collateral alongside Valor's central marketing team
Managing the hotel's local social media activity and keeping its presence on brand.com and third-party sites accurate and current
Representing the hotel at seminars and industry events to build its profile and your own network
Supporting Valor's central marketing team with data capture and database management
You'll need confidence with Salesforce CRM, the Microsoft Office suite, Teams or Zoom, and the social/digital marketing channels (Facebook, Instagram and beyond) that bring this plan to life.
