Live-in Companion/Home Help

We are an elderly couple living just a short distance from the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. We are hoping to find a warm, friendly, trustworthy, and active woman of any age who is patient and happy to help us with daily life. You won’t need to provide any medical care.

If you enjoy making a difference, like a good chat over a cup of tea, and are fond of dogs, you might be just who we’re looking for. The job is mainly about keeping us company, supporting us, helping us stay independent and comfortable at home, and looking after our two friendly German Shepherds.

This is a relaxed job with only light chores. You will have your own private and comfortable space in our home. We only need help for a few hours each day, so you will have plenty of free time and could even take a part-time job if you wish.

Your daily tasks will include keeping our home clean and tidy, doing light chores such as dusting, vacuuming, and making simple, healthy meals. Sometimes, we will need you to drive us to local appointments or shops and help with small errands. Our two dogs will also need to be walked.

You will need a full driving licence, be willing to have a standard background check, and be able to provide good references.
