Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Primary School Cleaner to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within our educational facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff by providing high standards of cleanliness. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment, contributing positively to the school community.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning duties across all school areas, including classrooms, hallways, toilets, and communal spaces.
Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure surfaces are hygienic and presentable.
Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed.
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to the relevant department.
Adhere to strict hygiene protocols, especially in relation to COVID-19 safety measures, including sanitising high-touch surfaces frequently.

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
Previous experience working within a school or similar educational environment is advantageous.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment for children and staff alike.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures is desirable.

This role offers an essential service within the school community, supporting a safe learning environment through diligent cleaning practices.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
