Full job description

The Digital Executive will play a pivotal role in the production, publication, and maintenance of high-quality, optimized content across the sporting group’s suite of websites and apps. This role involves handling enquiries, troubleshooting problems for internal and external customers, and staying
abreast of key digital and data trends in the sports and entertainment verticals. The Digital Executive will also be responsible for proactively researching and managing digital and data software projects, ensuring effective project management across multiple initiatives.

KEY OBJECTIVES:
Content and Web Management: Produce, publish, and maintain high quality, optimized content on the sporting group’s websites and apps.

Analytics and Optimization: Utilize tools such as Google Analytics, Paid Socials, app-store optimization, SEO, and WordPress to enhance digital performance.

Research and Trend Analysis: Proactively research key digital and data trends in the sports and entertainment verticals, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Project Management: Manage digital and data and projects across multiple initiatives, ensuring successful execution delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KPIs)
Website/App Performance Metrics: Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to website and app performance, including traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.

Digital Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of digital efforts through metrics such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and social media engagement. Work to commercialize our digital audiences, converting ‘unknown’ visitors to ‘known’ users Project Delivery: Ensure timely and successful completion of digital and data software projects within established timelines.

Digital Innovation: Stay informed of all digital innovation particularly within mobile, social media and video (eg. evolving metadata algorithms etc).

HR ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Proven experience in producing and maintaining high-quality, optimized content.
A working understanding of SEO and page optimization techniques
Experience in digital campaigns through third-party platforms including social media, Google and Previous
Experience in managing WordPress Websites and Hands-on experience in HTML and CSS
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for data-driven decisionmaking.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work alone but also as part of a team
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Experience with marketing automation tools is a plus.
Proficiency in, Canva, digital marketing campaigns & strategies,
A strong technical understanding of Server Technologies and SSL

implementation

Knowledge of API Integrations and troubleshooting
Experience in the sports industry would be an added advantage.

Salary: £26,364 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31 December 2026

Hours: 5 out of 7 days, Monday to Friday, and the occasional evening and weekend match day game
