Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, worked across a rota aligned to showroom opening hours.

THE ROLE
This is your chance to help shape the customer experience for one of the UK’s most exciting cycling brands. If you’re passionate about people, performance and creating great retail experiences, we want you on our team.
As an Assistant Showroom Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day running of the showroom, supporting the Showroom Manager in delivering exceptional service, strong sales performance and a premium Ribble experience across every customer touchpoint.
You will lead from the front on the showroom floor, helping riders find the right bike and supporting your team to deliver confident, expert advice. From customers discovering Ribble for the first time to experienced riders planning their next build, you will help create a seamless experience from first conversation through to collection and aftercare.
You will support the operational running of the showroom, helping coordinate daily priorities, maintain presentation standards and ensure the team is set up for success. You will also act as a key support for customer escalations and service recovery, helping resolve issues quickly and fairly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the Showroom Manager in the day-to-day running of the showroom and deputise where required.
· Lead the showroom floor from the front, acting as an example to the wider team in service, sales and rider engagement.
· Take a leading role in showroom sales performance, delivering high-quality consultations and helping drive customer conversion.
· Guide customers through the buying process with expert advice across bike choice, sizing, specification and accessories.
· Support and coach Sales Advisors to build confidence, product knowledge and consultation quality.
· Carry out bike sizing consultations and support customers in finding the correct fit and setup for their riding needs.
· Carry out premium bike handovers and ensure every collection experience reflects the Ribble brand.
· Handle customer escalations, aftersales queries and service issues, working with the wider CX team to deliver fair and timely resolutions.
· Help coordinate daily showroom operations, ensuring the space is customer-ready, organised and operating to a high standard.
· Support opening and closing procedures, workload coordination and day-to-day showroom organisation.
· Support local events, demo opportunities and community engagement activity to strengthen Ribble’s presence in the region.
Key Performance Indicators
· Individual and Showroom sales performance.
· Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and showroom feedback.
· Quality and accuracy of bike handovers and customer collections.
· Support and development of Sales Advisors within the showroom team
· Showroom presentation, operational standards and day-to-day readiness
ABOUT YOU
Essential skills and experience
· Previous experience in retail or customer service within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
· A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales performance.
· Confidence leading customer consultations and supporting riders through the buying journey.
· Good knowledge of bikes, components and sizing across multiple cycling disciplines.
· Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-focused and customer-first approach.
Desirable skills and experience
· Experience working within the cycling industry or a technical retail environment.
· Experience supporting or coaching team members on the shop floor.
· Experience handling customer escalations and service recovery.
· Familiarity with CRM or customer management systems such as Freshdesk or Shopify.
