Job Introduction:

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at HMRC Bristol RC.

This is a varied role combining reception, administration, cleaning and facilities support. You will be one of the first points of contact for visitors and will play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

What you’ll do:

Provide a friendly and professional reception service to visitors and colleagues.
Answer phones, manage emails, filing and general administration.
Issue keys and support building security procedures.
Maintain cleanliness across designated areas and complete cleaning tasks.
Refill and maintain coffee and refreshment areas.
Operate the till and complete cashing-up procedures following training.
Support the café and mailroom when required.
Report maintenance issues, hazards and faulty equipment.
Assist with meeting room set-ups and the movement of furniture.
Follow Health & Safety, COSHH, food safety and security procedures.
Respond to customer queries and resolve or report issues appropriately.
Complete required paperwork and attend team meetings.
Provide additional cover for holidays and sickness when required.
Support with securing the building at night.
Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the management team.

What You Bring:

Essential:

Good customer service and communication skills.
Reliable and professional approach to work.
Ability to follow Health & Safety and quality procedures.
Good attention to detail and ability to complete tasks to the required standard.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to undertake all required training.

Desirable:

Previous experience in reception, administration, cleaning, facilities or customer service.
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
Experience working in a busy customer-facing environment.
