Join our dynamic team as an 18tn Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operations! In this energetic role, you'll operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and freight carriers. Your expertise in driving and load handling will ensure timely deliveries across diverse routes. Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across assigned routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Drive route-specific deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or delivery issues.
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other specialized trailers to prevent shifting during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission vehicles and specific trailer types such as refrigerated or tanker units.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery routes involving freight handling and load/unload procedures.
- Familiarity with operating various heavy-duty trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently over long distances and challenging terrains.
- Experience with freight logistics, route planning, and delivery documentation.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance.
