Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Picker and Packer to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing products, ensuring efficient stock management, and maintaining high standards of quality control. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting smooth operations from order fulfilment to dispatch.

Duties

Accurately pick items from storage locations using warehouse management systems
Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring protection during transit
Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting when necessary
Load and unload goods from lorries or containers safely and efficiently
Operate forklift trucks and other mechanical handling equipment following safety protocols (training provided)
Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and organising inventory in designated areas
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labelling
Conduct quality control checks to ensure orders meet company standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Support the overall warehouse management system to optimise workflow

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous (certification preferred but not mandatory)
Knowledge of warehouse management systems and stock control procedures is beneficial
Experience in picking & packing, shipping & receiving, or stock organisation will be considered an asset
Mechanical knowledge or understanding of warehouse equipment can be helpful for troubleshooting minor issues
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is required
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail are essential for maintaining accuracy in order fulfilment
