Full job description

We are recruiting for a Management Accountant in Whitstable.

You will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and helping to develop financial systems and processes within a growing organisation.

About the role

Prepare monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary.

Support the monthly close process ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support business decision-making.

Produce management reports and financial dashboards for senior management.

Support the Director of Finance in developing financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.

Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning.

Support the preparation of year-end accounts and audit requirements.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.

Work closely with operational teams to provide financial analysis and cost control support.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation within finance processes.

About you

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

Proven experience preparing management accounts.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling).

Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a finance team.

You will have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available) as well as a full UK driving licence

37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri 9am – 5pm (office based)
