Full job description

We are a well-established small sheet metal fabrication company looking for an experienced Press Brake / Laser Operator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator who enjoys working in a hands-on environment where quality workmanship and practical experience are valued.

You will play a key role in our production team, working primarily with press brake and laser cutting machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC press brake and laser cutting machines
Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machine settings
Produce accurate parts to tight tolerances and high quality standards
Carry out first-off inspections and basic quality checks
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience operating press brake and/or laser cutting machines
Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings
Experience with machine setup and tooling changes
High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Reliable, practical, and proactive attitude

Desirable Skills

Experience in CNC programming or editing programs
Wider sheet metal fabrication experience
Forklift licence

Salary dependant on experience

Hours: 7am – 4.30pm – Mon-Thurs & 7am - 1pm Fridays
