The Role:

Join our Education and Inclusion service as a Senior Administrative Officer, supporting senior leaders to deliver services that improve outcomes for children and young people, particularly those who are most vulnerable. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in the smooth and effective running of a high-performing Children’s Services Directorate.

What you’ll do:

Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to senior leaders, helping coordinate activity across a range of services.
Manage complex diaries, meetings and workflows, ensuring priorities are effectively planned and delivered.
Coordinate complaints, correspondence and briefings, ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality responses.
Prepare agendas, reports and documentation, and support meetings including minute taking and action tracking.
Act as a central point of coordination, working across teams to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach.

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience delivering high-quality administrative support in a busy, fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders.
Confident IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Office and a range of digital systems.
Professional, dependable and trustworthy, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
