Security Officer

Job Introduction

As a Security Officer at Sodexo based at Unilever Port Sunlight in Wirral, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone on site.

You’ll be part of a professional security team, providing a visible and reassuring presence while supporting the day-to-day security of the site. You’ll need to be alert, dependable and confident when dealing with employees, visitors and any security-related situations that may arise.

What you’ll do:

Provide a professional and visible security presence across the site.
Monitor site activity and help maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Control access to the premises in line with site procedures.
Respond appropriately to security incidents, alarms and emergencies.
Complete regular patrols and security checks as required.
Provide a professional and helpful service to employees, visitors and contractors.
Follow all site security, health and safety procedures.
Accurately report and record incidents or concerns when required.

Strong communication and customer service skills.
The ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in challenging situations.
Good attention to detail and awareness of your surroundings.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a security team.
Flexibility to work the required rotating day and night shift pattern.

Package Description

Security Officer
£14.49 per hour
40 hours per week
Permanent, full-time
Two days, two nights, four days off
Three 18-day breaks built into the fixed rota
1 position available
Site based at Unilever Port Sunlight, Wirral
