Overview

A nationally recognised, award-winning farm shop, Ludlow Farmshop is located just outside the market town of Ludlow, in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Part of the Earl of Plymouth Estate, Ludlow Farmshop supports traditional production methods, with departments making great tasting products, such as cheese pastries, cakes, biscuits, jams and pickles, as well as a famous butchery department. Using as much produce from our own estate, we also support other local suppliers who have the same ethos as us. Coupled with the focus on reducing the impact of what we do on the environment, Ludlow Farmshop has an excellent reputation for quality products, which you cannot buy elsewhere.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Bakery Assistant. We bake fresh cakes, biscuits and pastries seven days per week from scratch. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working within a busy bakery setting. Working together with a small team of Bakers, the average day starts at 6am and usually finishes at 2.30pm.

This is a part time position. As the farmshop is open 7 days a week, flexibility and the ability to work at weekends is essential.

The ideal candidate will :

· Ensure that all products produced for sale from the department are of the highest quality and have sufficient shelf life

· Comply with food safety laws

· Adhere to the company’s health and safety procedures at all times

· Be customer focused at all times

· Engage with customers when on the shop floor and provide the highest quality of customer service
