Full job description

Head Chef required for 2 AA Rosette Restaurant with Rooms in Ludlow

Are you a Chef with vision and leadership skills?

Our Head Chef position has opened up and we are looking for someone who has extensive experience and skill, a huge passion for food, menu planning and a dedication to quality and service.

The role will involve working closely with management to further enhance the reputation of the 2 AA Rosette restaurant, using the best local and seasonal produce, served in a modern and minimal style.

The successful candidate will be extremely passionate about food, enjoy creating new dishes, be full of ideas that will enhance the restaurants existing style and must place high importance on food standard and quality.

About You:

· You will have previous experience as a Head Chef in a busy fresh food business, or have been in a position of Senior Sous Chef with knowledge of Head Chef duties and looking to further your career.

· You will be used to cooking with fresh ingredients, have had input in menu planning, ordering of produce and stock control.

· You will understand the high service level we are offering to our guests and strive to maintain this at all times.

· Have the ability to remain calm under pressure

· Boast passion for delivering excellent food quality and flavour

· You will need leadership qualities with the enthusiasm and charisma to work well with and motivate a team.

· You will apply strict adherence to food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

· Hold excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels

· Be enthusiastic, have a strong work ethic, hunger to grow and desire to push the business forward

About Us:

· We are set in the town of Ludlow, a thriving medieval market town. There is a busy community feel with events and festivals throughout the year. Ludlow has a well deserved reputation for quality food and drink with farmers markets, independent butchers, bakers, fishmongers and delicatessens and food stores.

· The business consists of 13 regularly let bedrooms, and two restaurant areas with a total seating cover of 90, which allows us to cater for diners and also larger functions.

· The cooking style is modern British, with a delicate style.

· Your kitchen team will consist of a two assistant chefs – so a kitchen team of 3. You will be responsible for this team, the workings of the kitchen and financial performance.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
