Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Minister of Religion / Associate Pastor to join our faith community. The successful candidate will provide spiritual guidance, lead worship services, and support congregation members through various stages of life. Responsibilities
- Lead regular worship services, sermons, and prayer meetings in accordance with denominational doctrines
- Offer pastoral care and counselling to congregation members, including those facing personal or health challenges such as hospice care
- Organise and participate in community outreach programmes, including youth groups and charitable activities
- Mentor and support church volunteers, staff, and lay leaders to strengthen organisational capacity
- Conduct baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other sacraments with sensitivity and professionalism
- Facilitate educational programmes such as Bible studies, religious classes for children, and adult learning sessions
- Assist in fundraising efforts to support church initiatives and community projects
- Provide guidance on moral and ethical issues within the community while promoting inclusivity and understanding
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching religious principles and leading worship services
- Demonstrated leadership skills within a faith-based organisation or community setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse age groups, including children
- Experience working with children and young people in educational or faith settings
- Strong mentoring abilities with a compassionate approach to pastoral care
- Knowledge of hospice care principles is advantageous for supporting terminally ill congregants
- Ability to organise events, lead fundraising activities, and motivate volunteers effectively
- Relevant theological qualifications or ordination recognised by the organisation is preferred

Pay: £24,420.00-£38,323.17 per year
