Yard Operative – Join Our Team!
Established in 1977, and headquartered in Bromsgrove, Whiting Landscape Limited is an award-winning landscape contractor, working with clients around the country to deliver new landscapes as well as maintain them. Our Yard, based at our Head Office, is a key hub for us – as well as growing some of our plants and tree stock, we take delivery of and arrange transport of plants, trees and related tools and equipment.
We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Yard Operative to join our busy team! If you enjoy practical work, being outdoors, and getting stuck into a variety of daily tasks – this could be the role for you.
What you’ll be doing:
No two days are the same here. You’ll play a key part in keeping the yard safe, organised, and running efficiently, while delivering high standards in everything you do. You’ll be getting involved with:
- Loading and unloading stock
- General yard duties and housekeeping
- Stock control and organisation
- Recycling and maintenance tasks
- Checking and repairing irrigation equipment
- Supporting the wider yard team to keep everything running smoothly
- Using plant and machinery (with proper checks and safety procedures in place)
- Stepping up to support the Foreman when needed
What we’re looking for:
- Someone reliable, proactive, and happy to get stuck in
- A team player who can also work independently
- Good awareness of health & safety (PPE and safe working is important to us!)
- Practical mindset with a “can do” attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
- Previous experience in a similar environment would be useful but is not essential
Important:
A full manual driving licence is essential – you’ll be required to move company vehicles around the yard as part of your day-to-day duties.

Working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3pm on a Friday.
Pay: £10.85-£13.71 per hour

- Bromsgrove B61 0RJ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
