TIG Welder – Subsea Components (Super Duplex Stainless Steel)

Location: Widnes, Cheshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our growing manufacturing team, specialising in the production of high-integrity subsea components for the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding Super Duplex Stainless Steel and other corrosion-resistant alloys to the highest quality standards, ensuring compliance with stringent customer and industry specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform precision TIG welding on Super Duplex Stainless Steel components.
Work from welding procedures, and specifications.
Maintain high-quality weld standards suitable for subsea service.
Carry out visual inspection of completed welds.
Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
Collaborate with machining, inspection, and engineering teams to meet production schedules.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Essential Requirements

Proven TIG welding experience on Super Duplex Stainless Steel.
Experience working within the subsea, oil & gas, pressure equipment, or precision engineering sectors ideal but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Understanding of welding procedures and weld documentation.
Excellent reliability and work ethic.

Desirable Skills

Current or previous welding qualifications (ASME IX, ISO 9606, or equivalent).
Experience with Inconel, Duplex, or other exotic alloys.
Previous experience welding pressure-containing components.
