Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Building Trade Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting skilled tradespeople in various building projects, ensuring smooth operations on-site. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, reliable, and eager to learn about the construction industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within the building trade and develop valuable skills for future career progression.

Duties

Assisting with the preparation of building sites, including clearing debris and organising materials
Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment
Supporting tradespeople such as carpenters, bricklayers, and plasterers with their tasks
Moving tools, supplies, and materials around the site as required
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Assisting in basic tasks such as mixing materials or setting up scaffolding under supervision
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with site instructions and safety standards

Skills

Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks
Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
Willingness to learn new skills related to the building trade
Prior experience in construction or similar manual roles is advantageous but not essential
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £12.80-£13.50 per hour
