This role is responsible for delivering high-quality analysis and insights, assisting stakeholders in understanding performance, trends, risks and opportunities in order to drive impact and income.
Working closely with the relevant stakeholders, the postholder will develop KPIs and a strategic measures framework, driving a culture where data informs decision making at all levels of the organisation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Working with the management team, develop KPIs and a strategic measures framework to drive performance and data-led decision making across the organisation

Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand reporting needs and business challenge, engaging proactively and inquisitively to understand the “why” behind data requirements

Build trusted relationships across teams and with senior stakeholders

Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

Support leadership decision-making through clear and concise reporting and through proactive analysis and insight
Data & Insight

Gather, analyse, and interpret data from multiple internal systems (e.g. CRM, membership platforms, finance systems) translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights tailored to different audiences

Improve engagement with data and insights through reporting and visualisation including the development and continuous improvement of PowerBI dashboards to drive organisational performance tracking

Identify trends, patterns, risks and opportunities to inform strategic and operational decision-making

Use data to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement

Support teams in interpreting findings, guiding them in the actions needed to improve outcomes and challenging assumptions

Contribute to planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring activities
Systems, Data Management & Governance

Work with structured data environments, including SQL databases to extract, validate and transform data

Work with the Head of IT and Head of Solutions to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms

Apply best practices in data protection, governance, and compliance (including GDPR)

Support the development of scalable data models and reporting frameworks

Monitor emerging technologies and ways of working, including AI, to deliver speed and agility
Due to IChemE’s international nature, this position requires a willingness to work flexibly and to sometimes engage in business discussions outside of normal working hours.
The position is based in the UK with flexible working arrangements, meaning you will usually be working three days from the Rugby office and the remainder from home.
Only candidates eligible to work in the UK will be considered.
This is a permanent, full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week working Monday through to Friday.
Starting salary will be circa £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits which includes an excellent pension scheme.
