HR Consultant
Head Office, Broxburn
Salary up to £35,000

40 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

Eastern Western Motor Group is one of Scotland’s largest automotive retailers, representing some of the world’s leading automotive brands across a multi-site business with more than 1,850 colleagues.

Following the forthcoming retirement of one of our HR Consultants, we are looking to appoint an experienced HR professional to join our established HR team in a true generalist role supporting multiple areas of the business.

The HR team plays a key role in supporting business growth, change and continuous improvement. Combining strong people practices with technology, data and modern ways of working, we provide practical HR solutions while maintaining a personal approach.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will work closely with managers and senior leaders to provide expert HR guidance, support operational decision-making and deliver a positive colleague experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance across a broad range of people matters.
Manage employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues.
Support organisational change and consultation activities where required.
Advise managers on company policies, procedures and employment legislation.
Coach and support managers in making effective people-related decisions.
Produce, analyse and interpret HR data, trends and management reports.
Support colleague engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
Build strong working relationships across the business and take ownership of designated business areas.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and wider HR projects.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a busy HR Generalist or HR Advisor/Consultant role.
Strong employment law knowledge and practical HR experience.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A pragmatic, approachable and solutions-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities.
Comfortable operating within a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
Confidence working with managers and senior operational leaders.
CIPD qualified or working towards qualification.
Full UK Driving Licence preferred due to travel across Group locations.
