We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator specialising in Passive Fire Protection to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for passive fire protection projects, including materials, labour, and equipment costs.
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine scope of work and resource requirements.
- Support the compilation of tender submissions by gathering quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Contribute to the development of project budgets and assist in tracking costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate estimation aligned with project objectives.
- Maintain organised records of all estimation documentation for future reference and audits.
- Support the implementation of cost control measures throughout project execution to optimise profitability.
Experience
- Previous experience or internship in construction estimating or a related field is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of passive fire protection systems and construction processes is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of cost control principles within construction or engineering projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
