We are a trusted and fast-growing automotive locksmith services provider based in the South West, specialising in vehicle key replacements, lockouts, key programming and advanced automotive locksmith solutions.
Known for our professionalism, reliability and speed, we are continuing to grow and are looking for a driven individual to join our mobile team as an Auto Locksmith / Vehicle Key Technician.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in auto locksmithing, vehicle key programming, auto electrics, diagnostics, mechanics, roadside assistance or a wider automotive background. Previous auto locksmith experience would be ideal, but we are also open to speaking with candidates who have strong transferable automotive skills and the right attitude to learn and develop.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems, dealing with customers face-to-face, and being out on the road. As the business continues to expand, there is also the opportunity for the right person to become involved in training, recruitment and supporting the development of future team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-destructive vehicle entry services.
- Cut and program car keys, transponders and remote fobs.
- Diagnose and repair issues with vehicle locks, keys and immobiliser systems.
- Attend customers on-site across the South West.
- Deliver a professional, reliable and high-quality customer service experience.
- Respond to emergency call-outs where required.
- Accurately record completed jobs, parts used, diagnostics and customer information.
- Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle to a high standard.
- Work independently while representing the business professionally at all times.
- Support the wider team as the business grows, including potential involvement in training and developing others.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an auto locksmith or vehicle key technician would be advantageous.
- Experience in auto electrics, diagnostics, vehicle mechanics, roadside assistance, recovery or wider automotive work would also be considered.
- Good understanding of vehicles and a genuine interest in the automotive trade.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Confident dealing with customers in a mobile, customer-facing role.
- Reliable, organised and able to manage your own workload.
- Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to travel across the region.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your work.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn, develop and grow with the business.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
Desirable
- Experience cutting and programming vehicle keys.
- Experience with transponders, remote fobs and immobiliser systems.
- Auto electrical or diagnostic experience.
- Previous mobile technician, roadside or recovery experience.
- Experience working with specialist automotive tools or diagnostic equipment.
- Interest in supporting training, recruitment or team development in the future.

Location & Travel
This is a mobile role covering the South West. Your home location will act as your base, but regular travel will be required to attend jobs across the region.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable being on the road, flexible with schedules, and committed to delivering a high-quality service wherever needed.
