Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient health outcomes within a dynamic clinical environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to professional excellence and continuous development.

Duties

Review and interpret prescriptions accurately, ensuring appropriateness of medication therapy for individual patients
Provide expert advice to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects
Monitor patient responses to prescribed medications and adjust treatments as necessary in collaboration with medical staff
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient medication records in accordance with legal and organisational standards
Educate patients on the proper use of their medications, including potential side effects and storage instructions
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, safety, and ethical guidelines concerning pharmaceutical practice
Participate in clinical audits, medication reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings to optimise patient care
Stay informed about new pharmaceutical developments, guidelines, and best practices through ongoing professional development

Skills

Qualified Pharmacist with registration from a recognised professional body
Proven experience in a clinical pharmacy setting is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex information clearly to patients and colleagues
Analytical mindset with attention to detail for accurate prescription review and monitoring
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams whilst demonstrating professional independence when required
Knowledge of current pharmaceutical legislation, safety standards, and ethical practices
