Overview
Join our vibrant team as a Driver for a Daycare, where your enthusiasm and driving expertise will ensure safe, reliable transportation for children and staff alike. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nurturing environment by providing dependable shuttle and bus services that support daily operations. Your mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and dedication to safety will help create a positive experience for everyone on board. Whether you're experienced in school bus driving, paratransit, or limousine services, your skills will be valued in this dynamic position that keeps our community moving smoothly.

Responsibilities

Safely operate various types of vehicles including school buses, shuttle buses, and paratransit vans to transport children, staff, and visitors.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper maintenance, addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to guarantee secure transportation at all times.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to ensure smooth coordination and address any special needs or concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle to uphold a professional appearance and ensure safety standards are met.
Assist with loading and unloading children safely, ensuring proper supervision during transit.
Complete all necessary documentation such as trip logs, maintenance reports, and incident reports accurately and promptly.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, including bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with paratransit services or motor coach operations is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Prior customer service experience demonstrating patience, professionalism, and reliability.
Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for school bus or motor coach).
