Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structured Cabling Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, and maintaining structured cabling and fibre optic networks that supports telecommunication, computer networking infrastructure, CCTV and Access control systems.

Duties
- Design, plan, and implement structured cabling solutions for data, voice, CCTV, VoIP, and other telecommunication systems.
- Install and splice fibre optic cables for IT networks, CCTV and wireless access points
- Install and terminate cables using hand tools, ensuring neatness and adherence to schematics and technical specifications.
- Configure and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Avaya systems.
- Perform equipment repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on network hardware and related electrical components.
- Interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of cabling and fibre infrastructure.
- Conduct site surveys to assess requirements for network installation projects.
- Test cabling integrity using appropriate testing tools to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to integrate cabling systems seamlessly into existing networks.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and system configurations for future reference.
- Splicing and termination of fibre cables. Including repairs and fault diagnostics
Qualifications
- Proven experience in network installation, electrical work, or telecommunication engineering.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, VLANs, and network protocols.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, VoIP technology, and telecommunication equipment such as Cisco systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools used in cable termination and equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Ethernet standards, and related hardware components.
- Electrical experience is highly desirable to support system troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications in networking or electrical fields are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
