The role encompasses a variety of tasks around the general running of the store, this includes. Serving and advising customers to ensure they get the correct paint for their project, ordering and putting away stock, answering phones, packing orders and keeping the store clean and tidy. As well as assisting in general administrative tasks around store operations.
Experience and qualifications
- Good level of computer literacy, emails and basic excel skills
- Be trained to use of various paint mixing machines and till software
- Excellent communication and personal organisation skills
- Previous experience in a trade sales or retail environment beneficial
- Ability to ensure deadlines are met to ensure customer satisfaction
- UK driving license

Must be able to work reasonably flexibly between the hours of 07:30-17:30 Monday-Friday and alternate Saturday Mornings 08:30-12:30.
Hours available can range between 30-40 per week depending on the candidate.

Summary
As a Trade Counter Assistant, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and facilitating sales transactions to both trade and retail customers. Reporting to the Store Manager, your role involves effective communication and administrative support, ensuring a smooth operation at the counter. Your core skills in communication, along with skills in merchandising and general organisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good general computer literacy will be required but mainly a positive outlook and a willingness to learn and help customers through their own individual projects.
Pay: £19,900.00-£26,624.00 per year
