Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman/woman to join our construction and maintenance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from building and repairing structures to installing essential systems.

Duties

Use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and safety standards are met
Perform carpentry and joinery tasks to construct or repair frameworks, fixtures, and finishes
Install roofing materials, conduct heavy lifting as required, and ensure proper sealing and weatherproofing
Execute construction painting projects to enhance durability and aesthetics of structures
Carry out masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing with attention to detail
Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, drills, and measuring devices efficiently and safely
Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, masonry work.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during construction projects
Knowledge of construction painting techniques and finishing work
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and working at heights
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to completing tasks effectively
Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are a plus but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided for the right candidate

Pay: £20.00 per hour
