Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a chef. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation and serving of high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to food safety and excellence in service.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards.
Cook and present dishes with attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
Support the team in various kitchen tasks, including cleaning, plating, and serving when required.
Budgeting and costing of meals for functions.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, demonstrating an ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly within a busy kitchen setting.
