Swimming Teacher - Baby and Pre-School
Sunday shift available
Term Time Only
Sundays – 10:30-12:30 (exact timings TBC)
+ ad hoc cover (including non baby lessons) – Monday mornings 09.45am-11.10am, after school 15.45pm-18.00pm & weekend mornings 08.15am-10.30am
Hourly rate £17.70 per hour
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Baby and Preschool swim teacher to complement our swim teaching team at Aylsham Swim Academy at Aylsham Sports Hub. This position is part of our extensive STA learn to swim programme, and the successful candidate will be a dynamic and engaging teacher who can deliver Starfish and Stanley series swim lessons to a variety of ages and abilities 6 months – 5yrs. Time will be provided to prepare lessons and ensure that all families receive consistent feedback on a half termly basis. Our swim teachers have regular team meetings to share ideas and to support each other to continue to develop their practice and regular coaching is offered.
As well as being an organised and confident communicator, you must be able to flourish in a busy environment and understand the importance of being a team player. You must bring enthusiasm, a passion for excellent customer service and a 'can-do' attitude to the post.
The successful candidate will need to hold a SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers or a STA International Baby and Pre-School Teacher qualification. Successful candidates who are qualified under Swim England or any other approving body will be supported to convert their qualification to enable them to deliver our STA programme of classes.
A National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTAC) or STA Safety Award for Teachers Qualification would be advantageous but not essential as we will support the right candidate to obtain this qualification. It would be beneficial if the successful candidate also holds a First Aid at Work (FAW) Certificate.

Aylsham Sports Hub has a refurbished swimming pool offering public membership, family swim sessions and a swim school. We have a wide range of exercise classes, badminton, tennis are offered in our spacious sports hall. We also have our full size 3G multi-sport floodlit pitch.
