Build Award-Winning Landscapes. Build a Career You’re Proud Of.
At Stewart Landscape Construction Ltd, we do more than build gardens and landscapes. We build careers, develop people and create a team culture based on professionalism, pride and progression.
If you are looking for a role where your work matters, your effort is recognised and your skills are continuously developed, this is an opportunity to join a company committed to doing things properly.
From high-end private gardens to large-scale commercial projects and RHS Chelsea Flower Show award-winning builds, you will be part of a team delivering work to exceptional standards across some of the UK’s most exciting landscape projects.
What You Can Expect
When you join our team, you’ll be joining a business that genuinely invests in its people. We want you to develop your skills, grow in confidence, and build a long-term career with us. From day one, you’ll receive structured in-house training and ongoing support to help you progress, with clear opportunities to move forward within the company as you gain experience.
You’ll work alongside experienced Team Leaders and senior staff who are there to guide and support you, while giving you the opportunity to learn specialist landscaping and construction skills on a wide variety of projects. We believe having the right environment and equipment matters, which is why we provide modern vehicles, machinery, and tools, along with a professional and organised workplace where everyone works together as a team.
Most importantly, we value people who work hard, turn up with a positive attitude, and take pride in what they do. In return, we offer competitive pay, paid travel time, and a supportive team culture where your effort and reliability are genuinely appreciated.
The Role
As a Landscape Operative, you will work alongside our experienced Team Leaders and skilled landscapers delivering high-quality projects to both private and commercial clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Assisting with all aspects of hard and soft landscaping
· Site preparation and groundwork
· Keeping sites safe, clean and organised
· Carrying materials, tools and equipment
· Loading and unloading deliveries
· Supporting paving, planting, fencing and construction works
· Assisting with measurements and setting out
· Following health and safety procedures
· Maintaining the high standards our clients expect
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who wants more than just a job — someone who wants to be part of a hardworking team, learn new skills, and take pride in creating high-quality outdoor spaces. Experience in landscaping or construction is beneficial, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are just as important to us.
The ideal person will be someone who is:
- Reliable, hardworking, and professional in their approach
- Positive, motivated, and willing to get stuck in
- Keen to learn new skills and progress within the business
- Comfortable working outdoors as part of a team
- Organised and disciplined on site
- Able to communicate well and work positively with others
- Safety conscious with good attention to detail
- Proud of producing quality workmanship
- Willing to take initiative and maintain high standards
- Looking to grow with the business long term
Above all, we want someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and wants to contribute to a supportive and professional working environment.
A CSCS Card is beneficial but not essential.
If you do not meet every requirement but have the right attitude and commitment, we would still encourage you to apply.

Everything we do is built around the values that define our team and culture:
