Rally Preparation Services is looking for a reliable and experienced Yardman/Driver to join our busy team.
Daily tasks are all aimed to assist the team with the smooth running of the business both in and around the buildings and within the yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out any maintenance to the buildings and any equipment as needed.
Applicants need a can-do attitude and be able to use their many skills to accomplish the varied jobs we need doing across the day, which may also include carrying out various driving jobs.
Main responsibilities:
- Daily help with opening and closing the business.
- Maintain clean and organised workshop environment daily.
- Fulfil general daily and weekly tasks set by the management.
- Keeping the yard tidy and organised.
- Move vehicles around the workshop and yard as needed.
- Keeping vehicles clean and tidy.
- Maintenance as needed.
- Driving company vehicles as needed for any collections and deliveries.
- Trailer work as needed.
Required:
- Previous experience in DIY and general maintenance skills.
- Yardman experience will be beneficial.
- An ability to promptly deal with routine tasks.
- A methodical and tidy approach in relation to work.
- A willingness to learn.
- Be a team player.
- Flexibility in work.
- Having a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude.
- IT literacy, use of computers for recording tasks and time keeping.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- A professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to work on own initiative and cope well at busy times.
- A full driving licence is essential.
- Solid experience in towing trailers (essential).
Detail:
- 8:00 am start 5.00pm finish (8 hrs per day). Monday to Friday.
- 40 hours per week
- 60 Minute unpaid lunch break.
- Hourly rate of £14.00.
- Regular overtime available.
- You are entitled to have 28 days holidays each year, which includes 8 days of Public Holidays
- Workwear/PPE.
- Subsidised safe off street car parking.
