About the role

The GBS Transition Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful transition of business processes into the GBS organization. This includes overseeing end-to-end transition activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, and delivering value through standardized, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Your responsibilities

Transition Planning & Execution

Develop and manage detailed transition plans, timelines, and resource allocations
Lead cross-functional teams through transition phases including due diligence, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and handover
Identify and mitigate risks associated with transitions

Stakeholder Management

Engage with senior stakeholders across business units to align transition goals and expectations
Communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively to all relevant parties

Process & Performance Management

Ensure transitioned processes meet agreed service levels and performance metrics
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes post-transition

Change Management

Support change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new ways of working
Develop and deliver training and communication plans for impacted teams

Governance & Compliance

Ensure transitions adhere to internal governance frameworks and compliance requirements
Maintain documentation and audit trails for all transition activities

The experience we're looking for

Proven experience in managing transitions within a GBS or shared services environment more than 10 years
Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
Strong project management experience with a track record of delivering complex transitions on time and within budget

The skills for success

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus
Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
High emotional intelligence and adaptability
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms
