J Mould Reading is looking for an experienced heavy Plant Fitter to work from its new workshop in Reading. You will report to the Plant manager and be working on a varied fleet from mini diggers to 65t excavators and the attachments that fit them, Crushers and Screeners, Loading shovels, Forklifts and Static recycling plants.
Your task would include:
- carrying out scheduled machine servicing.
- Fault-finding and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Welding as required.
- showing a strong attention to detail
- working under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve any issue that may arise.
- ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standard and on time.
- ensuring that service reports and timesheets are completed correctly and submitted.
- liaising with other support staff such as Plant, Demolition, wash plant and recycling managers
Your Technical Skills:
- a proven track record working on modern hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, Crushers and Screeners
- experience in troubleshooting modern hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
- experience working on large-scale mobile earthmoving equipment in a quarry environment.
