Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry & Breakfast Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of breakfast dishes and baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. The successful applicant will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular emphasis on baking and breakfast cuisine. Duties
- Prepare and cook a range of breakfast dishes, including eggs, pancakes, pastries, and other specialised items.
- Create and bake a variety of baked goods such as bread, muffins, scones, and desserts.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in menu development by suggesting new breakfast items and pastry creations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and optimise kitchen operations.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Support the wider culinary team during busy periods or special events.
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, baking, or culinary roles within a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Excellent skills in kitchen organisation and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Creative flair for developing new pastry recipes and breakfast menus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates eager to learn.
