Full job description

Job Description:

Honiton Rugby Club are advertising for a part-time position within sports therapy and physiotherapy. We are based in East Devon. The role would involve supporting the club from pre-season starting in August, until the end of the season in April/May.

This role is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of senior, and junior players. The successful candidate will need to have an interest in working within a sport club environment and have the ability to work independently.

Availability:

Training is on a Tuesday and Thursday evenings and games are on a Saturday. As a minimum commitment, applicants are required to attend on one game day and one training session per week.

Role Duties:

· To complete injury assessment, injury management and education, injury prevention, exercise presciption and rehabilitation, including first aid and medical services delivered to Senior and Junior Players.

· To complete pitch-side first aid and injury treatment.

· To maintain accurate and detailed records of all aspects of treatment, injury management and rehab content in keeping with governing guidelines.

· To provide match day cover as required.

Person specification:

· Demonstrate a background working in sport/rugby

· Completion of sports taping qualifications / experience

· Experience of MSK exercise presciption

· Aware of concussion protocol and how to identify a concussion

Essential qualifications/skills:

· Graduate on BSc Hons in Physiotherapy/Sports Rehab/Sports Therapy

· Current graduate member of the Society of Sports Therapists (SST), The Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or another appropriate governing body

· Have your own professional indemnity insurance

· Have a first aid qualification
