Full job description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Scrub Nurse, where you will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and assisting surgeons during surgeries. Your expertise in patient care, anatomy knowledge, and medication administration will ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical outcomes and compassionate patient support.

Duties

Prepare the operating room by ensuring all sterile equipment, supplies, and instruments are ready for surgical procedures
Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies promptly and accurately
Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques to prevent infections and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate assistance as needed during surgery
Support patient care before, during, and after surgery by helping with positioning, comfort measures, and post-operative instructions
Document all surgical activities accurately in patient records and assist with inventory management of surgical supplies

Skills

Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to surgical procedures
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to support patients’ needs before and after surgery
Proficiency in medication administration with attention to safety protocols and proper documentation
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in high-pressure situations
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage sterile environments and surgical instruments
Good communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
