Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to oversee the day to day operations of a prominent commercial building in Manchester city centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained to a high standard, operating safely and efficiently, whilst acting as the main point of contact for tenants, contractors and the asset manager.

Responsibilities

Oversee contractors responsible for the maintenance and repair of the building, including electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Manage building compliance and statutory obligations including fire safety, health & safety and security systems.
Carry out regular inspections of the building and identify any maintenance or compliance issues, ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken.
Liaise with tenants regarding maintenance works, service interruptions and general building matters.
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for tenants, contractors and the asset manager.
Assist with the planning and delivery of planned preventative maintenance, repairs and improvement projects.
Maintain accurate records relating to compliance, inspections, maintenance and contractor activities.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Building Manager, Facilities Manager or in a similar property management role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience managing contractors and service providers.
Good understanding of commercial building maintenance and statutory compliance requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
