Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and versatile Kitchen Designer to cover holiday periods, providing creative and practical solutions for our clients. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for design and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our team during peak holiday seasons. The role involves collaborating closely with clients to develop customised kitchen layouts that optimise space, functionality, and aesthetics, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable customer experience.
Duties
- Develop detailed kitchen designs using digital design tools, ensuring alignment with client specifications and preferences
- Utilise SketchUp and CAD software to create accurate 3D visualisations of proposed kitchen layouts
- Incorporate web design principles to enhance presentation materials and online project portfolios
- Capture high-quality photographs of design concepts and completed projects for promotional purposes
- Edit images using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to produce professional visual content
- Prepare comprehensive design documents employing Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Assist in creating engaging multimedia content with Adobe After Effects for marketing materials
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate ideas into functional, aesthetically pleasing designs
- Support the team in maintaining project timelines and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the design process
Qualifications
- Proven experience in digital design, graphic design, or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work
- Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD, Maya, or similar 3D modelling software
- Knowledge of web design principles including HTML and CSS is desirable but not essential
- Skilled in photography with an ability to produce high-quality images suitable for promotional use
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite products
- Familiarity with kitchen or interior design is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members
