Full job description

Job Purpose

The Depot Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the depot, ensuing efficiency, compliance, and safety. This includes managing employees, coordinating logistics, maintaining site standards, and ensuring adherence to company policies and legal regulations.

Key responsibilities - in conjunction with the Depot Manager

Supervise and coordinate depot staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to company and depot standards
Assign and monitor tasks to employees, ensuring workload distribution is fair and efficient
Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport to ensure smooth operations
Maintain accurate records of communications, deliveries and operational activities
Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits
Oversee vehicle loading and unloading to maximise efficiency and safety

Qualifications and Skills required

Strong leadership and team management skills
Forklift licence
Computer literate - knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 6am until 4pm

Pay: £15.00-£15.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
