Symbiotic Homecare is a medically led domiciliary care provider delivering high-quality, person-centred care across the community. Our service is uniquely supported by a clinical leadership team, including medical consultants and specialist clinicians, enabling us to safely support complex packages such as dementia care, neurological conditions, end-of-life care, spinal injuries, and high-acuity community care.
We work closely with ICBs, Local Authorities, District Nurses, GPs, and MDT professionals to deliver responsive, outcome-focused care aligned with CQC regulations, NICE guidance, and best practice standards. Our organisation is CQC registered and rapidly growing, with a strong workforce of 30+ trained care staff and an expanding portfolio of complex and standard domiciliary care packages across Lancashire.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead and develop our domiciliary care service. You will be supported by our existing Registered Manager (Medical Physician) with a view to taking over once settled in.
Role Overview
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance, and operational management of the domiciliary care service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led services in line with CQC standards.
You will play a key role in maintaining our medically led, high-quality care model and supporting the continued growth of Symbiotic Homecare.
You will be supported by our in-house clinical team of Medical Consultants and Senior Nurses.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the domiciliary care service
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards
- Oversee day-to-day operations, care delivery, and quality assurance
- Lead on safeguarding, governance, audits, and incident management
- Manage and support care coordinators and care staff
- Ensure safe staffing levels, rotas, and continuity of care
- Develop and review care plans, risk assessments, and complex packages
- Work collaboratively with clinical leads, MDT professionals, ICBs, and Local Authorities
- Support complex care packages including end-of-life, dementia, neurological, and high-dependency clients
- Drive service growth, tender readiness, and commissioning relationships
- Maintain robust recruitment, training, and supervision processes
- Promote a positive, compassionate, and person-centred care culture
Essential Requirements (Strict)
- Must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Must have previous experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection frameworks
- Proven experience managing domiciliary/community care services
- Experience with Local Authority and ICB commissioned packages
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Experience managing complex care or medically led services
- Experience with CHC, end-of-life, or high-acuity care packages
- Tendering and commissioning experience
- NVQ Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (in addition to Level 5)
