Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Groundworker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundworks, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves working on various site projects, assisting with groundwork tasks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The successful applicant will be a reliable team player with proven experience in the industry, ready to contribute to our ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

Assisting with excavation, trenching, and levelling tasks to prepare sites for construction activities
Laying foundations, kerbing, and drainage systems as required
Operating basic hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently
Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organised to maintain safety standards
Supporting the team in setting up site equipment and materials
Adhering to all health and safety protocols at all times during operations
Reporting any issues or hazards to the site supervisor promptly

Experience

Proven experience as a Groundworker or in a similar role within the construction industry
Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and best practices
Ability to operate basic groundworking machinery is desirable but not essential
Strong understanding of site safety procedures and risk assessments
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Valid relevant certifications or qualifications (e.g., CSCS card) are advantageous but not mandatory

Full driving license is required

Pay: £18.00-£22.50 per hour
