Full job description

Parish Administrator

Salary: £16,900 per annum (£25,350 FTE)

Contract: Permanent, Part-time, 25 hours per week.

Location: Based at St Edmund's Lodge, The Avenue, Southampton SO17 1XJ

Please note, some out of office hours and occasional travel may be required across the Diocese.

The Parish Administrator plays a key role in supporting the mission and ministry of the parish by providing efficient and effective administrative services. The postholder will help facilitate the transmission of the Catholic faith by ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of parish activities, responding promptly and professionally to the needs of parishioners, clergy, and visitors. Working within a vibrant city-centre parish, the role contributes to fostering a welcoming, organised, and supportive environment that enables the parish community to continue growing and flourishing.

This is an exciting time to join our friendly, busy, and supportive team as we implement our 10-year Mission Plan, shaping the future of our Diocese and the communities we serve.

Covering Hampshire, Berkshire, South Oxford, and the Channel Islands, our Diocese is home to 87 parishes and 50 schools, serving over 27,000 practising Catholics and supporting 32,000 children and their families.
