Join Our Team!

Veteran Fire Safety Ltd is a growing fire safety consultancy providing Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Door Surveys, Fire Strategies, Training and Consultancy services across the UK.

We're looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Finance & Administration Assistant to join our Head Office team in Coalville.

This role is ideal for someone looking to work around school hours, whether you're returning to work after raising a family, looking for better work-life balance, or simply want a rewarding part-time position within a supportive team.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside our Finance and Administration team, you'll help keep our accounts organised and support the smooth running of the office.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Processing purchase invoices using Xero.
Matching invoices and resolving any queries.
Reconciling supplier statements and accounts.
Chasing colleagues for outstanding receipts and supporting paperwork.
Assisting with employee expenses.
Liaising with suppliers and colleagues to resolve finance queries.
Proofreading reports before they're issued to clients.
Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
Providing general administrative support across the business.

Our accounting software is Xero, which is fully integrated with our CRM system, BigChange. If you haven't used these systems before, don't worry—we'll provide full training.

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of finance experience—we're more interested in finding the right person.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

Have some experience of processing invoices or working in an office or accounts environment.
Are organised and enjoy keeping things in order.
Have a good eye for detail and take pride in producing accurate work.
Are comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Are confident communicating with colleagues and suppliers.
Are willing to learn and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
