Full job description

Job Overview
Brauer Ltd are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of welding and fabrication tasks, working from technical drawings, and producing high-quality fabricated components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform welding and fabrication work to a high standard.
Carry out MIG and MMA (Stick) welding on a range of materials and components.
Gas welding experience would be a distinct advantage.
Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings accurately.
Assemble, fabricate, and weld components using welding fixtures and jigs.
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

Ideally 5+ years' experience in a welding and fabrication role.
Proven experience in MIG and MMA welding.
Gas welding experience is desirable but not essential.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
Competent in the use of hand tools, grinders, drills, cutting equipment, and general fabrication machinery.
Experience working with welding fixtures, jigs, and fabrication assemblies.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Desirable Qualifications

Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications/certifications.
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or metal fabrication environment.
Forklift, overhead crane, or other workshop-related certifications would be advantageous.

Pay: Up to £20.00 per hour
