From high energy summer entertainment to spectacular fireworks and award-winning Halloween attractions, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Event Technician to help bring our events to life.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of our events team, ideal for someone who thrives in fast paced live environments and loves problem solving, show technology, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
The Role
As our Event Technician, you’ll be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio, lighting, and visual equipment across our annual events programme. You’ll work closely with creatives, performers, contractors, and operational teams to ensure every event runs smoothly and safely.
No two days are the same, one day you could be rigging PA systems for a live outdoor event, and the next supporting immersive Halloween attractions or troubleshooting show tech during a live performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Setting up and operating audio, lighting, visual, and show control systems for live events
- Supporting the delivery of immersive seasonal events and entertainment experiences
- Planning AV logistics, layouts, cable runs, and equipment positioning
- Troubleshooting technical issues during live events quickly and calmly
- Maintaining, testing, and repairing AV equipment
- Managing safe storage and organisation of equipment
- Liaising with external contractors and suppliers onsite
- Supporting performers and show teams with correct equipment use
- Assisting with infrastructure setup timelines and event build schedules
- Ensuring all technical work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Working across indoor and outdoor event environments
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5+ years of experience in the AV, sound, and lighting industry, preferably in the entertainment, visitor attraction or service industry, both outdoors and indoors. Strong hands-on experience with sound, lighting, and AV systems
- Confident fault finding and troubleshooting under pressure
- Experience working with installed show systems
- Basic carpentry or maintenance knowledge is advantageous
- IT confident, ideally with knowledge of QLab and/or DMX systems
- A practical, proactive, and solution focused mindset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak event periods
