Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain high levels of technical knowledge, skills and understanding in the subject matter areas to be taught
Maintain high levels of competence in training delivery methods, through CPD events and standardisation sessions.
Complete risk assessment of training venues and delivery methods prior to commencement of training programs
Provide objective assessments of competence for operational staff
Ensure evaluation of training and development activity in terms of effectiveness to provide quality assurance information and completion of appropriate audits.
Identify development requirements for operational staff, prepare development plans to support staff to achieve required standards.
Deliver training and development programs to other students as required
Undertake Incident command assessments during in role supervisory and pathway assessments aligned to level of qualification held in role.

Salary: £30,024 £33,699 per annum (full-time equivalent). The salary for this role will be adjusted pro rata to reflect the part-time hours of 21 hours per week.

Qualifications

Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent- (desirable)
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or Competence in the Work Environment, or equivalent- (essential)
ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching and mentoring or equivalent-(desirable)
IOSH Managing Safely certification (desirable)
ICL level 1 or 2- (essential)
